About BRJE

Brookline for Racial Justice & Equity (BRJE) works to dismantle systemic racism in our community through advocacy, education, and organizing. We bring together families, educators, students, and allies to build a more just and equitable Brookline.

At BRJE, we believe that lasting progress toward racial justice requires more than good ideas — it demands an informed, motivated, and organized constituency ready to act. Building a strong and diverse membership base allows us to deepen our relationships in the community, amplify the voices of those most impacted by injustice, and increase our collective power to advocate for meaningful change in Brookline and beyond.

Position Summary

Working in close collaboration with BRJE’s Program Coordinator and reporting to the Executive Director, the Campaign Manager will design and implement strategies to attract new members, strengthen our outreach presence, and engage the community through direct organizing, events, and marketing.

  • Engage and support existing members in peer-to-peer recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially across lines of difference.
  • Experience with grassroots organizing, campaigns, community engagement, or outreach.
  • Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working in a flexible and evolving environment.
  • Ability to work some evenings or weekends depending on outreach opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Brookline and/or the Greater Boston area is a plus.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
