Event Summary:

Hundreds of students from Brookline High School and the Winsor School walked out of class and gathered at Brookline Town Hall to protest ICE. In below-freezing temperatures, students led chants, shared personal stories, and spoke about immigration, constitutional rights, and what it means to protect their neighbors and classmates.

BRJE was honored to stand alongside these young organizers. At the students’ invitation, longtime BRJE Board member Bonnie Bastien and Executive Director Raul Fernandez spoke at the rally. The walkout was a powerful reminder that students are paying attention, organizing locally, and pushing Brookline forward.
